One of the project’s most important long-term goals is a marine conservation and education hub at Costa de Oro Beach Hotel, the operational home of The Mazatlán Project.
The intention is not simply to open a dive shop. It is to create an integrated platform for marine education, conservation, responsible recreation and community participation: a Rotary Reefs Marine Conservation Center, snorkeling and diving programs, citizen science, school programs, beach and underwater cleanups, and a meeting point for researchers, students and Rotary Clubs.
